New Space can be viewed as a rapid growth ecosystem of new technology, applications and markets, built on an expanded investment model which has attracted many millions of dollars of investment premised on the belief that these New Space companies will ultimately generate profits. Companies in New Space face risks such as delays in technology development, government regulation, tightening of funding such as the recent downturn in SPACs, and issues such as orbital debris and loss of spectrum which are unique to the satellite industry. The webinar panelists will explore the risks and rewards of New Space and whether history is likely to repeat itself with the New Space phenomenon.
