Milbank LLP partner Dara Panahy, who was an opening keynote speaker and a speaker on two panels at the Asia Video Industry Association's (AVIA) recent Satellite Industry Forum in Singapore, was recently quoted by StreetInsider. The May 30 article titled “Navigating Challenges and Seizing Opportunities in an Evolving Satellite Landscape” covered some of the key panels during the conference, discussing the state of the industry, critical questions and insights on the path forward.
The article discussed conversations around the space industry led by Mr. Panahy, who “highlighted the ongoing democratization of the commercial space industry, with the need for incumbents to evolve by either scaling up or vertically integrating to better serve customers.” Identifying key areas including mobility, government services, IoT and earth observation as lucrative opportunities, Mr. Panahy “underscored the pivotal role of space in the larger economy.”
