Milbank LLP Transportation and Space partner Dara Panahy moderated two panels on November 5, 2025 at the APSCC 2025 conference, organized by the Asia-Pacific Space Community Council (APSCC) in Taipei, Taiwan. This year’s conference focused on how AI and sovereignty impact the Asia Pacific space ecosystem.
Mr. Panahy moderated the “Financing and M&A – A Strategic Transaction Market Update” panel which covered space financing and strategic transactions and the state of play and prospects for capital raises, debt financing and M&A transactions; and the “Risk Management – The New Frontlines of Risks for Satellites” panel which explored how AI and geopolitics reshape satellite risk, liability and insurance in a contested space environment.
Mr. Panahy, who heads Milbank’s Space Business practice globally, focuses on the representation of satellite and space infrastructure operators, aerospace manufacturers, launch services providers, communications companies, banks, private equity firms and hedge funds in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and negotiating commercial contracts.
APSCC, held November 4–6, is the premier gathering of the Asia-Pacific satellite and space community, bringing satellite and space industry professionals together for market insight and partnerships.
