Milbank Transportation and Space partner Dara Panahy will moderate two discussions during Silicon Valley Space Week, taking place October 27–29, 2026 in Mountain View, California.
On October 27, Mr. Panahy will moderate “Orbital Data Centers – Investable Infrastructure or Thermodynamic Bet?” as part of Satellite Innovation. The panelists will discuss whether AI data centers can successfully be built in space, with believers and skeptics debating both the engineering feasibility and economics involved.
On October 28, Mr. Panahy will moderate “Fireside Interview – Space Superiority and the Commercial Question” as part of MilSAT Symposium, featuring Col. Timothy Trimailo, Director of the Commercial Space Office (COMSO) at Space Systems Command.
Mr. Panahy, head of Milbank’s Space Business practice globally, focuses on the representation of aerospace infrastructure operators, manufacturers, launch services providers, communications companies, banks, private equity firms and hedge funds in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and negotiating commercial contracts.
