Milbank Earns Top Honors at Global Transport Finance Awards

LONDON, December 10, 2014 – Milbank’s Transportation & Space team received top honors, “Transport Finance Law Firm of the Year,” at the Global Transport Finance Awards 2014 gala in London in recognition of its work in the aviation, railway and shipping industries.

James Cameron, head of the London Transportation & Space Group, commented on the award, “Having already won “Aviation Firm of the Year” at last year’s annual Gala Awards Dinner, we are particularly honored to be recognized for our commitment and support to the global transport finance industry as a whole this year, for our involvement in some of the largest, most challenging and market-leading deals in the sector.”

Milbank also won “US Capital Markets Deal of the Year” for its work representing Goldman Sachs on the Castlelake ABS. Castlelake was novel since it was the first ABS involving mid-to-end-of–life aircraft.
