Two Milbank associates, Binta Mamadou and Kingdar Prussien, have been named to The National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 under 40, which comprises a select group of distinguished attorneys from each state who, among others, possess an outstanding reputation among their peers, the judiciary and the public, exhibit leadership skills, and have accomplished notable achievements, settlements and verdicts.
The National Black Lawyers is an invitation-only professional organization that celebrates excellence and offers its members professional development resources and networking opportunities. Membership is based on nominations from leading lawyers, current members, and the organization’s Executive Committee.

Binta Mamadou is an associate in the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Her experience includes advising project sponsors and financial institutions, including commercial lenders and development banks, in a wide range of cross-border transactions in Africa, the Americas and Europe in connection with the acquisition, development, structuring and financing of energy and infrastructure projects. Most recently, she represented clients in connection with the financing of the 252MW Lekela West Bakr Wind Project in Egypt, a $400 million bond issuance in Latin America, and the financing of the Midship natural gas pipeline project in Oklahoma. Additionally, she has an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in family and immigration law matters, and spearheaded Milbank’s aADAM (Attorneys of African Descent at Milbank) inaugural Black History Month pro bono legal clinic on life planning documents in collaboration with Volunteers of Legal Service, the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and Brooklyn Legal Services. Ms. Mamadou is a member of the Paris Bar (Barreau de Paris) (inactive status) and the NYC Bar’s Diversity Pipeline Initiatives Committee and African Affairs Committee.
Kingdar Prussien is an associate in the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and regulatory investigations. He has represented public and private companies, financial institutions, and individuals in all aspects of white-collar criminal and regulatory matters, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation involving issues ranging from alleged violations of the Bank Secrecy Act to securities fraud, accounting fraud, and obstruction of justice. Mr. Prussien is co-leader of Milbank’s aADAM affinity group and has helped organize numerous aADAM-sponsored events at the firm. An active contributor to the firm’s pro bono work, he has dedicated more than 100 hours to pro bono matters in each of the last three years.
