Milbank LLP Antitrust partner Fiona Schaeffer spoke on a panel at the 2025 Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement’s (PCCE) 2025 Fall Antitrust Conference. The panel was hosted at the NYU School of Law on November 13.
Ms. Schaeffer spoke on the “Laws and Regulations that Inhibit Competition” panel, which was moderated by Daniel Francis, a professor at the NYU School of Law. She was joined by Rebecca Allensworth, Associate Dean at Vanderbilt Law; William Rinner, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the DOJ’s Antitrust Division; and Bilal Sayyed, counsel at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. The panel discussed the impact of federal and state laws and regulations that inhibit competition and debated potential frameworks for AI legislation that would protect consumers while preserving innovation.
