Milbank LLP advised Vantor, Inc. (“Vantor”), a leading provider of unified spatial intelligence, on the procurement of the Vantage and Pulse earth observation satellite systems. Vantor’s suppliers include BAE Systems for the design and manufacturing of the Vantage satellite system, EnduroSat for the development, manufacturing and integration of the spacecraft buses for the initial Pulse satellite system, and CACI for optical imaging payloads for the Pulse satellite system.

The Vantor Vantage satellites are next-generation, 20 cm-class earth observation satellites, designed to collect the most accurate, highest-resolution commercial imagery on orbit, and are intended to increase imagery collection opportunities, reduce latency and rapidly deliver mission-critical intelligence from space to customers.

The Vantor Pulse satellites are 40 cm-class earth observation satellites designed for high revisit rates and flexible, multi-sensor configurations, including electro-optical and radio-frequency payloads. The Pulse satellite system is planned to include 24 satellites in total, with the satellites expected to deploy between 2027 and 2029.

The Milbank deal team was led by Transportation and Space partner Dara Panahy and included associates Brian Murff and Melis Ulusel.

“We are honored to support Vantor on the procurement of its innovative, next-generation imagery systems,” said Mr. Panahy, head of Milbank’s global Space Business practice.
