Milbank Advises Owner Families on Sale of ebm-papst to Madison Air

Milbank LLP advised the owner families of ebm-papst group (“ebm-papst”), a leading global provider of innovative ventilation solutions for air, refrigeration and climate technology, on the sale of ebm-papst to the listed US company Madison Air (“Madison”; NYSE: MAIR), a global provider of air quality solutions. The transaction values ebm-papst at 5.1 billion euros (enterprise value).

With Madison, ebm-papst gains a new, long-term-oriented owner with strong innovative capabilities and operational scaling expertise to accelerate growth. In turn, the partnership gives Madison Air access to differentiated air flow technology and highly attractive markets, particularly in Europe, enabling the company to further scale its business outside North America.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.
