Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP advised comedy platform Funny Or Die on the sale of a minority ownership stake to AMC Networks Inc., the owner and operator of comedy network IFC. Terms of the deal were not announced.
Funny Or Die and IFC have a history of successful collaborations. The new investment is designed to allow the two leading comedy brands to expand their collaboration efforts to create smart, culturally relevant comedy across television, digital and social platforms.
The Milbank team advising Funny Or Die was led by Los Angeles Corporate partner Ken Baronsky, along with Corporate associates Roxana Azizi, Mark Castiglia and Jack Goodfriend, and New York Tax partner Russell Kestenbaum and Executive Compensation partner Mike Shah and associate Nicholas DeLuca.
