Milbank LLP advised AREF II Renewables Investment Holding S.à r.l., an affiliate of large asset management firm Allianz Global Investors, on the sale of a UK solar park portfolio to UK asset management firm Greencoat Solar Assets II Limited.
The transaction is the sale of an investment from the renewable energy portfolio managed by Allianz Global Investors for institutional third-party clients, which comprises a total of approximately 1.5 billion euros of assets under management. The portfolio consists of three solar photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 99.1 megawatts, located in the UK counties of Cambridgeshire, Worcestershire and Norfolk.
