Mr. Bermann’s practice focuses on all aspects of antitrust law, including merger review, litigation, government investigations and counseling. From 2020 to 2023, Mr. Bermann served as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice, where he led major merger investigations and litigated some of the most significant antitrust cases in recent years on behalf of the United States, including the government’s challenges to Sabre/Farelogix, Visa/Plaid, American/JetBlue, JetBlue/Spirit. He has published and spoken widely on antitrust topics, including at the University of Oxford, where he co-chaired a conference on antitrust and sustainability earlier this year. He is a leader in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, where he serves as Co-Chair of the Transportation & Energy Industries Committee and, prior to that, Vice-Chair of the Global Private Litigation Committee.
