Milbank LLP Leveraged Finance special counsel Janet Nadile will speak at the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys’ (ACFA) Continuing Legal Education Weekend on May 19, 2023.
Ms. Nadile, whose practice focuses on commercial law and secured transactions including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) issues, will be on a panel with other prominent UCC experts discussing developments in secured lending, including attachment in after-acquired collateral, security interests in intellectual property, financing statements, priority, enforcement, guaranties and contract issues. The program will also cover the status of the enactment process for the 2022 UCC Amendments, creative uses of the UCC Article 8 opt-in, and financing statements with anonymous secured parties.
The program will be held at The Greenbriar, a historic landmark in West Virginia, from May 19–21, 2023. ACFA members include in-house attorneys and attorneys in private practice who are national and international experts in middle-market commercial credit transactions and commercial bankruptcy matters. ACFA consists of a select group with members in more than thirty states and a number of foreign countries, with members' clients including most of the major banks, commercial finance companies and leasing companies. Ms. Nadile currently serves as President of ACFA.
