Eric Moser, partner in the Alternative Investments Practice, will receive the Lawyers Alliance for New York’s "2010 Cornerstone Award". Eric is being honored for his extensive legal work on behalf of East River Development Alliance (ERDA), the largest public housing development in the country, and Bethex Federal Credit Union (Bethex), a low-income designated community development credit union.
Eric has been assisting ERDA since 2007 in various legal matters, including drafting disclaimer language used in various forms and promotional and presentation materials for ERDA’s Building Wealth Program, and reviewing and negotiating funding contracts and subcontract agreements.
Eric, assisted by Nicholas Robinson and Gail Miranda-Schmidt, worked with Bethex in preparing the documentation of a $400,000 SBA-guaranteed loan to a local start-up business and securing the loan with collateral in a number of properties, both within New York and outside of New York.
Milbank's work with both organizations has been critical and has helped advance their mission. For ERDA, to improve and transform New York City public housing neighborhoods, and for Bethex, to provide financial services to low income families and local businesses in the community.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Pfizer Conference Center, 150 East 42nd Street, New York City.
