Milbank LLP Structured Credit partner and global practice group leader Sean M. Solis was quoted in a Bloomberg News article discussing how private credit firms are issuing collateralized loan obligations at a near-record pace despite market turmoil, redemption pressures and concerns over defaults.
In the article, titled, “Private Credit's CLO Machine Ramps Up in Push to Raise More Cash,” Sean noted that CLOs in the private credit space may see an upsurgence as market participants look to take advantage of volatility and view the software-related concerns as potentially overdone. Sean also pointed to green shoots and opportunities for new deal issuances in the upcoming weeks.
