Milbank LLP Litigation & Arbitration partner Mona Vaswani was honored as the “Commercial & Transactions Lawyer of the Year” at the Benchmark Litigation Europe 2021 Awards. The virtual awards ceremony took place on June 3.
The Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards recognize the leading litigators, law firms and most impactful disputes across Europe over the last 12 months. The 2021 Awards honored exceptional work at both the local and national levels based on research conducted between February and September 2020, consisting of a months-long review of submissions, referee surveys, lawyer interviews and independent research.
Based in Milbank’s London office, Ms. Vaswani is regularly recognized as a leading banking, fraud and disputes lawyer in the UK. She advises on a variety of complex, cross-border disputes and investigations and has acted for a number of leading international and investment banks on a wide range of banking and regulatory disputes and investigations in England. She also has substantial experience advising banks and trustees in the conduct of trust litigation in several jurisdictions, including major offshore jurisdictions such as Jersey, Guernsey, the Cayman Islands and the BVI.
Ms. Vaswani has consistently been ranked in market-leading legal directories and rankings including Chambers & Partners and Who’s Who Legal. She was named one of the top eight asset recovery lawyers in the UK by Who’s Who Legal and honored as one of six lawyers added to Legal 500’s Hall of Fame in the 2020 edition on civil fraud and asset tracing.
