Milbank partner Apostolos Gkoutzinis – market-leading international capital markets and finance lawyer – was part of a panel discussion on ‘Greece and Britain’s Trading Relationship, More and Better’ at the 5th Greek-British Symposium on 25 September 2021. The discussion focused on Greece and Britain working together as trading nations, the new challenges and possibilities and how the two nations have to enlarge the bilateral trade of goods and services and push cultural osmosis above the present very high levels.

The Greek-British Symposium is a bilateral forum - a privately led and sponsorship-funded initiative, delivered by the organisers of the Delphi Economic Forum with the support of the British Embassy Athens and the British Council. It was launched in October 2017, in Nafplion, Greece. We continued the next year in Ditchley Park in the UK, and returned to Nafplion in 2019. This year the Symposium took place in hybrid format – part physical in central Athens, but mostly via digital platform.

The Symposium was held under the Chatham House Rule and invitation only.
