Milbank LLP partner Apostolos Gkoutzinis is taking part in a panel discussion on “Investing in New Energy, Defence and Healthcare” at the Greek-British Symposium on October 11, 2025. Panelists will discuss Europe’s transition from fossil fuels to renewables, the role of electrification, AI-driven energy demand, nuclear power’s potential, and the need for regional cooperation—particularly between Greece and Britain—to build an integrated, efficient, and affordable European energy market.
The conference explores key geopolitical, economic, and technological shifts shaping Europe. Leaders and experts from both nations gather to discuss defense cooperation, health tech innovation, and energy transition. High-level panels and keynote speeches foster dialogue amid global uncertainty and regional transformation. With strong cultural ties and forward-looking agendas, the Symposium reinforces a dynamic UK-Greece partnership.
The Greek-British Symposium is a bilateral forum—a privately led and largely sponsorship-funded initiative—delivered under the guidance of a Steering Committee, in partnership with the Delphi Economic Forum, and with the support of the Greek Embassy in London, the British Embassy in Athens, and the British Council.
The Symposium will be held under the Chatham House Rule and is by invitation only.
