Milbank Antitrust partner Fiona Schaeffer recently commented in an article, “Global Competition Law Developments to Watch In 2019,” published by Law360. The article surveys global developments in competition law for the year ahead.
Discussing the recent proliferation of leniency regimes internationally, Ms. Schaeffer said: “If you're going to go for leniency, you've got to consider dozens and dozens of jurisdictions now, each of them requiring their own pound of flesh, not in financial penalties, but in the level of cooperation you have to provide to satisfy the conditions for leniency.”
