Matthew is a dual-qualified (English/New York law) partner who acted as co-head of the Global Energy sector and led the U.S. law energy and project finance practice globally at his previous firm. He is a leading practitioner in the oil, gas and power sectors, with a particular focus on LNG, as illustrated by his most recent work in relation to:
The development, financing and/or acquisition of more than 35 LNG projects around the globe;
The development, acquisition and financing of numerous refineries, petrochemical plants and pipelines in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the CIS, North America and South America;
The development, acquisition and/or financing of more than 40 power projects in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America and South America; and
The acquisition and financing of upstream oil and gas interests in the Middle East, Africa and the CIS.
