Nicholas Smith, a partner in the firm’s Technology & Sourcing Practice, was quoted in a Power Finance & Risk article on the growing importance of cybersecurity considerations in the sectors of energy and infrastructure. Noting that cybersecurity considerations are becoming more central to transactions in these industries, particularly in light of ongoing changes in industry regulation and the rising prevalence of hacking, Mr. Smith said, “Cybersecurity has sometimes been treated as a lower-priority item in transaction diligence in the past, but it’s not an issue that can be given short form treatment anymore.”
