Our APIN affinity group was formed in 2006 to provide networking, mentoring and business development opportunities for Asian and Pacific Islander associates.

Virtual Summer Program Highlights

  • Homemade Bubble Tea Event: APIN brought together its members and allies for a virtual Homemade Bubble Tea event with special kits from Bobagreen, an eco-friendly bubble tea company.

  • Ikebana: Attorney and summer associate members were invited to a virtual ikebana flower arrangement class with Takaya Sato of Buunch, a flower shop based in New York City. Participants received a selection of hand-picked flowers and learned how to make beautiful arrangements through Takaya’s modern take on the traditional Japanese art form.

Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, APIN hosted a discussion with long-time and renowned Asian American civil rights attorney Glenn D. Magpantay. Magpantay engaged APIN members in a conversation about the history of hate crimes, the struggle for racial justice, and the challenges with diversity, equity and inclusion in the Asian American context.

Supporting the Asian Pacific Islander Community

We are proud to sponsor the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund and the South Asian Bar Association of New York.
