LOS ANGELES, September 25, 2008 – The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP announced today that Paul Aronzon has rejoined the firm as a partner. He will resume his role as Co-Practice Group Leader of the Financial Restructuring Group, resident in the Los Angeles office.
Aronzon served for the past 2 ½ years as Head of Restructuring Advisory Services and Co-Head of Investment Banking at Imperial Capital, a full-service investment banking firm based in Los Angeles. Prior to that, Aronzon was a Milbank partner for 17 years, during which time he established his reputation as one of the country’s top restructuring attorneys and helped develop the firm's premier financial restructuring practice. Aronzon’s return furthers the firm’s strategy to continue to grow the restructuring and distressed debt practice.
“We are delighted to have Paul back with us at Milbank,” said Los Angeles office Managing Partner Kenneth J. Baronsky. “As we progress through what could be a lingering distressed market, Paul will play a vital role in advising clients on complex restructuring transactions.”
Aronzon has represented clients in some of the largest restructurings and corporate reorganizations in recent years, including EaglePicher Holdings Inc.; Trump Casino Holdings LLC; Pacific Gas & Electric Co.; Northwest Airlines; Delta Airlines; McLeodUSA; AMERCO (U-Haul International Inc.); Brown Jordan International, Inc.; Protection ONE; United Artist Theatre Circuit; Edwards Theatres Circuit; Regal Cinemas Inc.; MGM; and Nextel International. He has represented domestic and international debtors, financial institutions, lender syndicates, public debt, committees of creditors and shareholders, and troubled companies and their assets.
