LONDON, 9 April 2009 – International law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP is delighted to announce the election of Julian Stait as a partner in its Litigation Department, resident in London.
Mr. Stait has been a partner at DLA Piper from 1996, where he served both as head of DLA Piper’s Technology, Media & Communication practice (2000 to 2005) and as global co-head of its Litigation & Arbitration practice (2005 to 2007).
Mr. Stait is recognised as one of the UK’s leading dispute resolution lawyers. He has broad experience in a wide variety of business and regulatory disputes, particularly those in the Communications, Technology and Outsourcing (“CTO”) and finance sectors, coupled with proven leadership and practice development abilities.
Mr. Stait will play an important role in Milbank's global Litigation Department and will significantly enhance the firm’s dispute resolution practice, where he will work closely with David Perkins, who leads the Intellectual Property Litigation team in Milbank’s London office. In addition, Mr. Stait is an important addition to Milbank's CTO practice, an area in which he has a market leading reputation.
