Milbank Selected to American Lawyer’s A‑List for 2014

NEW YORK, July 1, 2014 – Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has once again been selected to American Lawyer’s coveted A-list, earning its highest placement ever for the magazine’s ranking of law firms nationally based on a combined scoring for four separate metrics – revenue per lawyer, pro bono work, diversity and associate satisfaction.

For Am Law’s 2014 A-List, just published in the magazine’s July issue, Milbank ranked Number 4 in the US. It was the second time in three years the firm placed among the top 5.

Am Law scores firms in the four respective categories, assigns double-weight to revenue and pro bono tallies, and then produces a total performance number. Only the country’s 20 highest-scoring firms make the list each year – exhibiting what Am Law editor-in-chief Kim Kleman calls “the complete package” that combines strong financial performance along with outstanding law firm culture. Milbank has been a consistent presence on the A-List since it was inaugurated in 2003.
