Milbank Represents Initial Purchasers in $400M High Yield Notes Offering by Air Canada

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, led by Global Securities partner Arnold Peinado, Transportation & Space partner Hugh Robertson and Global Securities special counsel Kevin MacLeod, acted as New York counsel to J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, as initial purchasers, in connection with the offering of 7.750% Senior Notes due 2021 by Air Canada.

Air Canada expects to use the proceeds of the notes for general corporate purposes. The Notes are senior unsecured obligations of Air Canada and are guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by one of Air Canada's subsidiaries. The notes were offered pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S.

Air Canada is Canada’s largest domestic and international airline, serving more than 180 destinations on five continents.

In September 2013, Milbank represented the initial purchasers and lenders in a $1.4 billion refinancing by Air Canada.
