Schiltach/Innsbruck, 27th February 2012 – The business unit “alloy wheels” of German automotive supplier BBS was acquired by an investment group consisting of Tyrol Equity AG, Udo Wendland and Lafayette Capital Partners (LCP). The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP advised LCP, future shareholder of 10 percent of the acquisition company that acquired the respective business unit of BBS, and the acquisition company itself on structuring and acquisition of the respective business unit of BBS.
BBS is a leading developer and manufacturer of premium quality alloy wheels in Germany and is a supplier for the international automobile and motorsports industries. The Austrian industrial holding company Tyrol Equity AG, industry expert Udo Wendland and financial investor Lafayette Capital Partners acquired the business from the insolvency administrator, Mr. Thomas Oberle.
Lafayette Capital Partners and the acquisition company were advised on the transaction by a Milbank team led by partner Peter Memminger as well as associates Dr. Thomas Tiedemann and Markus Messinger (all Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt).
