It is with a great sense of accomplishment that we present this Year in Review, highlighting some of the many successes of Milbank's Litigation and Arbitration Group in 2013. From multi-jurisdiction securities litigations to regulatory investigations to complex disputes involving bankruptcy, intellectual property, reinsurance, M&A, competition, and other commercial litigation, in 2013 we represented clients in “bet the company” cases and served as lead counsel in some of the largest and highest-profile commercial disputes in the world. We also continued our long-standing commitment to public interest work, as highlighted by the pro bono litigations summarized on page 22.
Our Litigation and Arbitration Group includes over 130 lawyers located in New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and London. Our litigators pride themselves on being trial lawyers. As you can see from the 2013 highlights, we frequently try cases in federal and state courts throughout the U.S., the English Courts, and before domestic and international arbitral tribunals in a broad range of matters.
