Milbank's Strategic Sourcing & Technology Group Adds Two New Partners
Election of Stephen Nordahl and Debra Alligood White as Partners Reflects Strength of Milbank’s Global Business Process & Information Technology Outsourcing Capabilities
NEW YORK, NY, November 21, 2005 – Recognizing the depth of experience and highly developed expertise in its global outsourcing practice, the international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has elevated two associates, Stephen D. Nordahl and Debra Alligood White, as partners in the Strategic Sourcing & Technology Group.
In addition to Stephen Nordahl and Debra Alligood White, Milbank’s 2005 Class of eleven new partners includes: William B. Bice (Global Project Finance, New York); John H. Consistent with his leadership in the outsourcing community, Milbank’s Halvey has just published the second edition of his acknowledged industry standard “Information Technology Outsourcing Transactions: Process, Strategies and Contracts.” In addition Halvey has authored the companion guide “Business Process Outsourcing Transactions: Process, Strategies and Contracts,” which is viewed as the definitive work addressing business process outsourcing and related legal matters.
STEPHEN D. NORDAHL is resident in the firm’s New York office. His practice encompasses all areas of technology and sourcing law, with a particular emphasis on information technology and business process outsourcing transactions and private equity transactions involving technology or sourcing companies.
Mr. Nordahl has represented clients in many of the largest information technology and business process outsourcing transactions, including AT&T, BellSouth, DuPont, JPMorgan Chase, Omnicom and Prudential.
Mr. Nordahl has written articles and frequently lectures on technology and outsourcing. He received his B.S. cum laude from Lehigh University, a General Course Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
DEBRA ALLIGOOD WHITE is resident in Milbank’s Washington, DC office. Ms. White’s practice focuses on outsourcing transactions, particularly offshore technology and business process outsourcing. She has negotiated Applications Development and Management offshore outsourcing transactions for The Home Depot and PepsiCo, a project management co-sourcing transaction for Aetna Life Insurance Company, a full-scope Human Resources Outsourcing transaction for PepsiCo and several infrastructure and offshore ADM outsourcing transactions for Lehman Brothers.
Debra Alligood White earned her A.B. from Harvard University and her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where she was Chief Comment Editor of Volume 40 of the UCLA Law Review and a recipient of an Association of Academic Women “Graduate Woman of the Year” award.
