HVB Capital Partners AG Acquires 10% Stake in Premiere Star GmbH
Milbank Advises HVB Capital Partners on Acquisition
Munich, 3 July 2007 – HVB Capital Partners AG (HVB Capital) has acquired a 10% stake in Premiere Star GmbH (Premiere Star), an affiliate of Premiere AG. The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP advised HVB Capital on all corporate and tax law matters of the transaction. HVB Capital belongs to the investment banking division of UniCredit Group. As of September 2007, Premiere Star will offer at least 15 pay-TV channels exclusively via satellite reaching 1.7 million subscribers of satellite channels.
The Milbank team representing HVB Capital included Munich lawyers Rolf Fueger (partner), Christoph Rothenfusser (corporate/M&A) and Matthias Schell (tax).
