Dorothy Heyl, of counsel in Milbank's Litigation Department, participated in a panel entitled "SEC v. Goldman Sachs: Is There a Case and What Does It Mean?" at the Securities Expert Roundtable Symposium held on August 7, 2010 at the Union League Club in New York. The two other panelists are former Regional Directors of the SEC’s New York Regional Office, Lawrence Iason and Ira lee Sorkin. The panel analyzed the unusual aspects of the settlement recently announced by the SEC, as well as the strength of the SEC’s case against Fabrice Tourre, who continues to fight the SEC charges.

The Securities Expert Roundtable consists of experts who testify in arbitrations involving disputes between retail customers and brokers. Its members include former regulators and former Wall Streeters, such as investment bankers, brokers, compliance officers and counsel to investment banks.
