L. Anthony Pellegrino, an associate in Milbank's Litigation Department, attended the Aida Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society (ARIAS) 2008 Fall Conference and Annual Meeting on November 6-7 in New York. Mr. Pellegrino participated in a mock proceeding on mediation "Connecting through Compromise," where a hypothetical insurance dispute was mediated.

ARIAS is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes improvement of the insurance and reinsurance arbitration process for the international and domestic markets. The Fall conference, entitled “Getting Connected,” addressed the many ways that arbitrators connect to proceedings and processes that lead to successful outcomes.
