Masamichi (“Masa”) Yamamoto is an associate in the Tokyo office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and a member of the Global Project Finance Group. He previously worked in the Firm’s New York office.

Before joining Milbank, Masa was assigned to the international affairs division of a major Japanese electric utility company where his responsibilities included working on the development of overseas water and power projects.

Masa received his J.D. from the Vanderbilt University Law School where he was the Executive Authorities Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and a recipient of the G. Scott Briggs Award and Grace Wilson Sims Prize. He received both a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from Keio University. Masa is a native Japanese speaker who is fluent in English and negotiates and drafts documents in both English and Japanese. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
