Christopher Stothers is an associate in the intellectual property litigation group in the London office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy LLP. His practice covers intellectual property (especially patent litigation and trade mark, copyright and design litigation), pharmaceutical regulation, European Union law, competition law (antitrust) and commercial litigation.Dr. Stothers is qualified as a solicitor-advocate in England and Wales. He received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Cambridge University (Downing College) and his B.C.L. from Oxford University (Brasenose College). He previously worked for the international law firm Linklaters in London, including a secondment (stage) at the European Commission in Brussels.He is an arbitral panelist for .eu domain name disputes at the Czech Arbitration Court, a committee member of the Competition Law Association and on the editorial board of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice. He is a Visiting Lecturer in intellectual property and competition law at University College London, having previously taught at both Cambridge and Oxford Universities.His practitioner textbook “Parallel Trade in Europe: Intellectual Property, Competition and Regulatory Law” was published by Hart Publishing in April 2007. He has published numerous articles in the European Intellectual Property Review, the European Competition Law Review and the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice and has contributed chapters to books on intellectual property, antitrust and European Union law. He is also a regular conference speaker, having presented papers at the Fordham Intellectual Property Conference, the Licensing Executives Society, the Practising Law Institute, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the College of Europe.
