Chris Holm is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation section of the Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP Litigation Department, specializing in intellectual property law, with a primary focus on patent litigation and prosecution. His experience is concentrated in electrical and mechanical technologies with a particular emphasis on electronic commerce and finance-related patents. Mr. Holm gained extensive research and development experience while on active duty with the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator flying in reconnaissance aircraft, and as a program manager for various advanced technology demonstrations in the field of unmanned aircraft. While assigned to the Pentagon, he was also active in the development of various advanced satellite programs. Mr. Holm has significant patent litigation experience before the U.S. International Trade Commission and various district courts involving patent validity, patent infringement and damages within a wide range of technologies, such as: semiconductor manufacturing technologies; remote security systems; image processing; securities trading systems; medical imaging apparatus and methods; and high-speed data connector designs. Mr. Holm has prosecuted patent applications directed to varied technologies, such as: e-commerce, business methods, financial securities and derivatives, semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunications, and remote imaging systems. Mr. Holm is admitted to practice in the States of California and New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Holm received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque New Mexico, his M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering (with distinction) from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey California, and his degree of Aeronautical Engineer from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey California. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC.
