Adam S. Bloom is currently an associate in the Global Corporate Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. He is resident in the Firm's Los Angeles Office. Mr. Bloom specializes in transactional and general corporate representation. In particular, Mr. Bloom's practice has focused on securities and secured financings and public and private mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Bloom was an associate in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, resident in the Firm's Palo Alto Office where his practice focused on patent, trade secret, copyright and trademark litigation. Mr. Bloom co-authorized an article on California trade secret discovery (Andrews Computer and Internet Litigation Reporter, June 2006). Prior to joining Milbank, Mr. Bloom worked for IBM's Globalization and Verification Testing (GVT) group in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. There, he tested IBM's WebSphere product on different operating systems including Linux, Unix and Windows in up to nine different languages, none of which were English. Mr. Bloom also worked for BindView Corp. in Houston, Texas as a web-developer, where he built WebPages using ColdFusion. Mr. Bloom received a B.E. in Computer Engineering magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and was a Tau Beta Pi. He majored in Mathematics and minored in French. He received his J.D. cum laude from Santa Clara University and was Order of the Coif. Mr. Bloom was the Volume 21 Notes Editor for the Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal.
