Accolades
Now we realize that “accolade” has
a pretty serious etymology…a French word adopted in English,
an accolade originally referred to an embrace around the neck. A
kind of cuddle. The word grew up a bit in later years and came to
characterize the act of conferring knighthood…you know, when
a sword is tapped on the shoulder in true medieval glamour. Either
way, by sword or website, we are extremely grateful for the praise
bestowed on us…

profession in the United States, included 28 of Milbank’s finest

practitioners were rated the nation’s finest in a variety of
