Thomas Tiedemann is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. He joined Milbank in 2008.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Tiedemann specializes in corporate law with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions as well as arbitration proceedings.
His recent major transactions include the legal advice to:
- Host Union on the acquisition of a majority stake in Acentic GmbH.
- Apax/LR Health & Beauty Systems on the acquisition of a majority stake in the LR-franchise companies in Eastern Europe.
- Lafayette Capital Partners on the acquisition of various locations of the insolvent fitness operator Elixia.
- A sole shareholder on the sale of his participation in a leading producer of generics in Germany.
- Levine Leichtman Capital Partners on the acquisition of stakes in Luminator Technology Group.
- The Carlyle Group on the acquisition of a consortium of six special mail order companies of the Primondo Specialty Group.
- Loyalty Partner and CEO Alexander Rittweger on the sale of a majority stake to American Express.
Mr. Tiedemann studied law at the University of Frankfurt where he also obtained his doctorate degree (Dr. jur.). Before joining Milbank, he clerked in Frankfurt and New York.
He is admitted to the German bar and speaks German and English.
