Shepard Liu is a senior associate in the Beijing office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Project Finance Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Shepard has extensive experience in financing transactions, as well as energy transactions and global infrastructure developments. He represents banks, financial institutions, sponsors, borrowers and investors in a variety of international financing transactions, including project financings, secured/unsecured syndicated facilities, asset-based financings, first lien/second lien financings, subordinated debt instruments and mezzanine financings. Shepard also represents clients in a wide range of onshore, offshore, upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas projects.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Shepard received his B.A. from Fudan University, his Ph.D. from the University of Texas and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
