Mia Korot is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Korot’s practice primarily focuses on securities and business litigation with an emphasis on multi-party class and derivative suits.
Ms. Korot has represented a broad range of financial institutions, including mutual fund advisers, investment banks and hedge funds. She has extensive experience with litigation under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and has represented numerous investment advisers.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Korot earned her B.A., cum laude, from Middlebury College and her J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University. During law school, Ms. Korot was managing editor of student works for the Environmental Law Journal.
Ms. Korot is dedicated to pro bono work and received an award from the Legal Aid Society in 2009 for her representation of low-income families who were denied shareholder status in their coop.
