Matthew A. Thiel is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm's Corporate Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Thiel’s experience includes representation of public and private companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other significant corporate transactions, including cash-for-stock and stock-for-stock mergers, asset and stock purchase and sale transactions, debt transactions, complex joint ventures, and reorganizations. He has represented private equity firms and public and private corporations. Mr. Thiel’s experience also includes advising companies with respect to corporate governance, takeover defenses and other general corporate matters.
Mr. Thiel has experience advising clients in various regulated and non-regulated industries, including financial services, exchanges, electronics, alternative energy, automotive and real estate.
