Lisa A. Brabant is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Brabant has over a decade of substantial experience in representing clients in all aspects of real estate transactions with an emphasis on financing, lending, acquisition and disposition. She represents investment and commercial banks and borrowers in connection with numerous transactions, including multi-state, multi-site real estate transactions, construction financings and bankruptcy exit financings. Ms. Brabant also focuses her practice on the renewable energy industry, including financings of solar and wind farms. In addition, she has developed a strong expertise with regard to equity investments in real estate and high-level lease transactions, including representation of China Center New York LLC in negotiating a first-of-its-kind private lease at One World Trade Center and development of a China Center in the Financial District of New York City.

Ms. Brabant received her J.D. and B.B.A. from Hofstra University. While at law school, she served as managing editor of staff of the Hofstra Law Review. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Services NYC – Bronx. Ms. Brabant was awarded the New York State Bar Association Empire State Counsel Award for Pro Bono in 2010, the Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Publico Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service in 2009 and the Milbank Pro Bono Achievement Award in 2007.
