Li Chen is of counsel in the Beijing office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and a member of the firm’s Corporate Group. She focuses her practice on outbound mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investment transactions.
Primary Focus & Experience
Li has extensive experience representing Chinese and multinational corporations (including PRC state-owned enterprises, PRC private companies, international private equity funds, and foreign investors) in cross-border M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and foreign direct investment transactions. She has also worked on a number of high profile IPOs and has particular experience in the iron & steel, telcoms, media and aviation sectors.
Li has nearly ten years of experience in the industry, including working with a leading PRC law firm.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Li received her LL.M. degree from the Dedman School of Law, Southern Methodist University where she was Sohmen Scholar; an LL.B. from Tsinghua University School of Law and a B.A. from Beijing Normal University.
Li is admitted to practice in New York and she is fluent in Mandarin and English.
