Leah Karlov is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm's Tax Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Karlov’s practice focuses on the tax-efficient structuring of domestic and cross-border transactions for investment funds and multinational corporations. She provides tax advice relating to domestic and international private equity fund formation and investment structures, financial products, and domestic and multijurisdictional mergers and acquisitions and restructurings.
Ms. Karlov also has significant experience in aircraft and equipment acquisitions and financing, including leveraged leasing. She represents sponsors, tax equity and debt investors in connection with the purchase and construction of facilities generating electricity through the use of wind, solar, geothermal and biomass energy.
In addition, Ms. Karlov provides general tax planning advice to partnerships, corporations and individuals.
