Jessica Zhou is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Securities Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Zhou specializes in the representation of underwriters and issuers in connection with international and domestic equity and debt offerings. She also has significant experience in domestic and international financial transactions, including transportation finance, satellite finance, acquisition finance and financial restructurings. Her recent experience has involved the representation of underwriters in numerous equity and secured and unsecured debt offerings by major US airlines including Continental Airlines, United Air Lines, US Airways, Southwest Airlines and Republic Airways, the representation of O3b Networks Limited in its equity and debt financing that won Project Finance International’s 2010 African Telecom Deal of the Year, the representation of major international banks as lenders in numerous acquisition finance transactions, the representation of the American Stock Exchange in its historic acquisition by NYSE Euronext and the representation of creditors in in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including the Chapter 11 reorganization of Accuride Corporation and Charys Holding Company, Inc. and the out-of-court restructuring of Hipotecaria Su Casita, S.A. de C.V.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Zhou received her J.D. from Columbia University where she was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar and managing editor of the Columbia Journal of Asian Law, her M.B.A. from the University of California at Irvine where she graduated as a Dean’s Scholar, and her B.A. from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Ms. Zhou is a native speaker of Mandarin.
