Grace M. Gilligan is an associate in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Gilligan’s practice focuses on regulatory investigations, as well as federal and state court litigation of complex commercial matters involving corporate law, securities law and financial restructuring. Ms. Gilligan has represented institutions and individuals in a wide range of regulatory investigations and proceedings, including matters involving alleged kickback schemes in the student lending industry, municipal bond bid-rigging, insider trading, sales practices for auction-rate securities, the origination and securitization of subprime mortgage loans, and market timing and late trading of mutual funds.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Gilligan worked as a pro bono fellow at the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society and received the 2005 and 2008 pro bono awards for outstanding service to the Legal Aid Society and its clients. While at Fordham University School of Law, Ms. Gilligan was a member of the Fordham Law Review.
