Fred Zullow is a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Group with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of patent litigation.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Zullow has represented major pharmaceutical companies in the enforcement of patents covering some of the world’s most successful drug products and drug delivery systems. Mr. Zullow has also represented mechanical equipment manufacturers, well-known chemical companies, specialty chemical manufacturers, color imaging companies and food and consumer product companies.
Mr. Zullow focuses in supervising and coordinating complex multi-party, multi-patent, multi-jurisdiction, worldwide litigations involving all aspects of intellectual property including patent law, competition law and trade law.
Representations include:
- Litigation counsel in a multi-patent, multi-defendant ANDA litigation relating to the drug product Nexium®
- Litigation counsel in two multi-party, multi-patent bench trials in the Southern District of New York against eight generic pharmaceutical companies relating to the anti-ulcer medicine Prilosec®
- Member of litigation team defending against patent infringement claim relating to the cancer drug Taxol®
- Member of litigation team in a series of patent litigations involving electrochromic technology used in the automotive industry.
Mr. Zullow also has extensive experience in the analysis and direction of the damages phase of intellectual property litigation.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Zullow has authored articles and lectured on various aspects of litigation and trial practice. He served as an editor of the Intellectual Property Law Journal, IDEA, while at Franklin Pierce Law Center.
