His recent experience includes the representation of:
- Itaú Unibanco in the complex transaction involving the US$3 billion sale of Bank of America’s entire equity stake in Itaú Unibanco
- The underwriters in Gerdau’s US$3.5 billion and TIM’s US$1 billion SEC-registered follow-on equity offerings
CSN, Gol, Itaú Unibanco, Marfrig and the Pão de Açucar Group in corporate and capital markets matters - Issuers and underwriters in several IPO, equity follow-on and debt offerings, including both private placements and SEC-registered transactions
- Issuers and dealer managers in debt tender offers
Banco Itaú and Unibanco on the U.S. law aspects of their merger, a transaction that created Latin America’s largest bank - Cemig, Marfrig, the Pão de Açucar Group, Votorantim and private equity firms in several M&A transactions
Debtors and lenders in several financing transactions, including export prepayment facilities
Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Camara studied law at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a post-graduate degree from Stanford Law School (LL.M.). Mr. Camara speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
