Edward Kayukov is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Project Finance Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
A partner since 2006, Mr. Kayukov focuses mainly on representing parties in the development and financing of independent power, transmission and infrastructure projects in the United States. He has particular expertise in the renewable energy sector.
His recent representations include:
- lenders on a solar PV solar photovoltaic (PV) project in California (this financing was named the “North American Renewable Deal of the Year” for 2010 by Project Finance International).
- lenders on a wind energy project in Indiana (this financing was named the “North American Renewable Deal of the Year” for 2009 by Project Finance International).
- lenders on a portfolio of three wind energy projects in New York State (this financing was named the “Renewable Deal of the Year 2008 (Americas)” by Project Finance).

Recognition & Accomplishments
Mr. Kayukov has spoken at several conferences addressing renewable energy financing structures and has written several articles with respect to trends in renewable energy. He has been recognized as a leading renewable energy specialist by Chambers USA—America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2011) as one of only six attorneys in the United States appearing in Chambers in Band 1 for Renewable Energy Projects.
Mr. Kayukov speaks native-level Russian and is fluent in French.
