David Lamb is a partner in the Global Corporate Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, and is resident in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Lamb has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of real estate and natural resources transactions, including real property sales and acquisitions, leasing, land use planning, real property financing and partnership, limited liability company and joint venture organization. His natural resources practice includes oil, gas, geothermal, wind and solar project financings, acquisitions, sales and development.

Counsel to the Official Creditors Committee of Lehman Brothers in connection with real estate matters including investments having an aggregate value on date of filing in excess of $40 billion ranging from direct and indirect ownership of raw land, single-family and multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, office and hospitality properties and equity, debt (senior, mezzanine and subordinated) and other interests in entities owning the same.

Counsel to the issuer of $2.48 billion of CMBS financing of 4 hotel/casinos in Las Vegas, NV.

Counsel to optionee / purchaser of more than 30,000 acres of solar energy facility sites throughout California, Nevada and New Mexico.

Counsel to Trust Company of the West and its affiliates in connection with the formation of 9 oil & gas, energy or project finance funds and portfolio investments by such funds.

Counsel to provider of a secured commodity hedge facility to Chesapeake Energy collateralized by US oil & gas properties having a value of more than $1 billion.

Counsel to the Coeur D’Alene Mines in connection with a gold royalty financing of it Palmarejo silver and gold mine in Mexico.

Mr. Lamb is a member of the California and New York State Bars. He received a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from the University of Santa Clara, and a law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
